Rolling bearings and bushings
For a longer service life and optimal running properties.Ceramic bushings or plain bearings are particularly popular in the chemical industry, in plant engineering and in the construction of special machines.
The advantages of ceramic plain bearings are the following:
-
long service life
-
resistance to abrasion and in most cases corrosion
-
high resistance to adhesive wear
-
often the ceramic material works well with different lubricants
In rolling-element bearing technology, most applications employ hybrid bearings, in which the inner and outer rings are made of steel, while the balls or the cylindrical, spherical or tapered rollers are made of silicon nitride ceramics.
The main advantages over steel rolling elements are mainly the following:
When using hybrid bearings in precision machining centres, the higher stiffness and lower thermal expansion also ensure better surface quality and precision of the machined workpieces.
In the case of all-ceramic rolling bearings, both the balls and the rings are made of ceramic materials. These are the components of choice when aggressive or abrasive media cannot be kept away from the bearings, or when high operating temperatures make the use of ceramics inevitable.
QSIL bietet unterschiedlichste, kundenspezifisch gefertigte Wälz- und Gleitlagerkomponenten, welche sowohl für Gleit- als auch für Hybrid- als auch Vollkeramikwälzlager eingesetzt werden können.
